- Milano Santa Monica: An Eco-City Within a City
The project will be located seven kilometres outside the Milanese city centre in the town of Segrate, currently home to about 33,000 inhabitants. The 'park', as it is known, will take up about 10 percent of this small city's total area. Long famed for its legendary fashion houses, Milan soon hopes to be known as a cutting-edge leader in yet another area of design: green communities.Come 2013, the bustling metropolitan area will be home to Milano Santa Monica, a two million square metre green space that will feature 2,000 apartments alongside schools, shops and sporting facilities.

- Watermark Place London, United Kingdom
Watermark Place is a mixed-use commercial development located on the north bank of the River Thames in London, UK. Being developed on a heritage maritime site, the project attempts to visually incorporate the significant past of London's maritime history together with the buzzing ambiance of a dynamic city. Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, construction of the building began in 2007 and was completed in September 2009. It has 11 storeys and houses 500,000ft² of office space with typical floor plates of 34,000ft² to 54,000ft².

- Zorlu Ecocity , Istanbul
When the living environment of human beings is increasingly damaged£¬it is undoubtedly a piece of good news to build an environmentally-friendly city. Zorlu Ecocity is a multi-functional development project, which is located in the capital of Turkey Istanbul and designed by the well-known Malaysian architect Ken Yeang. Based on the design philosophy of "city within a city"and urban planning principles, Zorlu Ecocity is to increase the number of city centers in the district of Marma in order to cope with the pressure of the historical center of Istanbul which is caused by urban development.

- Joint ECO-City developments in Scandinavia and Spain
The aim of the "ECO-City project" is to demonstrate innovative integrated energy concepts in the supply and demand side in three successful Communities in Denmark/Sweden, Spain and Norway, respectively the cross border community of Helsingør and Helsingborg, the community of Tudela and the community of Trondheim. The project started up in October 2005 and will end in October 2010. However, many of the activities and the transformation of the three communities will carry on beyond the project.

- St Davids the smallest city in the United Kingdom aims to be the first carbon neutral city in the world
We aim to make St Davids the first carbon neutral city in the world and to demonstrate how we can all help reduce the environmental damage caused by global warming. Examples of renewable energy technology and biodiversity can be seen on the eco trail around the city. Like many of the best things that happen, the St David's Eco City Project started out when a group of highly motivated local people decided do something that would make a difference in addressing the causes of global warming.
